Days Two-Three

Over the past two days I have been continuing my work with Mrs. Olins and understanding her daily expectations and tasks as the Director of Communications and Marketing. I begin each day by reading through approximately thirty blogs that are updated daily from all the Spring at Sage experiences. I have gained a more in depth appreciation for the opportunities the school gives everyone to explore the world and their passions. While reviewing each of these blogs, I continue to find new and fascinating pictures that highlight each experience whether they are global, "glocal", or even here on campus. I am able to use my judgement in finding the collection of pictures that I truly believe will catch the viewers eye. This is a very important concept in both Marketing and Communications.

I wouldn't call my lunch breaks a "break" from learning and gaining more knowledge. Mrs. Olins is always conscientious to include me in her lunch plans. Not only is my mind re-energized, but I am also motivated for my own future. She can go on for days with all of her life-tips, which I enjoy listening to. Mrs. Olins does her best to prepare me for my future and give me plenty of college and career advice. I am utilizing all that she has opened my mind to. She has given me a broader scope prior to leaving and starting my college experience in a couple weeks!

After long hours of hard work, I have finally finished creating the Head of School Blog Book! I have successfully compiled all of Mr. McNeill's blogs from 2013-2014 onto Mixbook. I have gone through hundreds of photos, selecting pictures for the book that not only show relevance to each blog topic but also highlight school's life and architecture. Lastly, I organized and formatted it all onto pages each appealing to the readers eye.

I have gained so much insight of the Communication and Marketing world over a short period of three days. I can not wait until monday when I get the opportunity to explore the O'leary and Partners advertising agency!
